My alarm clock

The countdown compares the target with your device clock, so it stays accurate when the tab is in the background.

A small record of what rang.

Recent alerts stay on this device, which helps when you are using the page for medication, study breaks, or a daily routine.

Your completed alarms will appear here.

How to set an alarm online

The quickest path is designed for the moments when you need a reminder now, not another app to configure.

  1. 01

    Check local time

Confirm the live clock and time zone at the top of the page.

  2. 02

    Choose a time

Use 06:30 or 07:00 as a starting point, or enter any date and time.

  3. 03

    Name and test

Add a label such as “meeting” or “medicine”, then test the selected sound.

  4. 04

    Leave the tab open

You can switch tabs, but your device must stay awake for the browser alert.

Keep this tab open and your device awake. A browser alarm cannot ring after you close the tab or shut down your device.

A Free Online Alarm Clock, No Account Needed

Set an alarm without downloading an app, creating an account, or sending your schedule to a server. Your alarm settings stay in this browser so you can use the page for a morning routine, a meeting, or a reminder.

A Loud Alarm Sound You Won't Sleep Through

Open Sound settings in the header to choose a built-in ringtone, adjust volume, and test playback. Choose Silent for a visual reminder. Check that the device and browser tab are not muted before relying on an audible alarm.

What people use an online alarm clock for

  • Waking up

Set a time for tomorrow morning and keep the page open while you sleep. Test the volume before you put your device down.

  • Power naps

Choose a short alarm for a 20-minute rest or an afternoon break without installing another app.

  • Cooking

Use a browser alarm for bread, pasta, laundry, or anything that needs a reminder while you work nearby.

  • Meetings and study

Set a clear start or break time for a meeting, study session, medication reminder, or focused work block.

How this online alarm clock stays accurate

The countdown compares your target with your device clock instead of adding one second at a time. When the page becomes visible again, it recalculates the remaining time. It does not need a network connection after the page loads, but the browser tab must remain open and your device must stay awake.

Online Alarm Clock FAQ

How do I set an online alarm clock?

Set your online alarm clock in three steps:

  1. Check the local time shown on the page, then choose a date and time or use a quick preset for a common time or a few minutes from now.
  2. Choose a sound and press Test alarm to check the volume. Set the repeat mode, snooze interval, and ring count if needed, then name the alarm.
  3. Press Set alarm and check the target time and live countdown below. Keep the browser tab open and your device awake until the alarm rings.

Does an online alarm clock work if I close the browser?

No. Closing the tab or browser, or shutting down your device, stops the alarm; missed reminders will not ring when you reopen the page. Your alarm settings are saved in this browser, so alarms whose scheduled time has not passed will still appear in the list when you return. A one-time alarm missed while the browser was closed is removed from the upcoming list. Keep the page open and your device awake while waiting, and test the sound first. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may prevent settings from being kept.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes. You can set and use this online alarm clock for free without creating an account, downloading an app, or sending your alarm schedule to a server. Your settings are kept in this browser so you can return to the same device and continue using your reminders. Browser notifications are optional and the basic alarm flow works without an account.

Can I set it on my phone?

Yes. Open the page in a mobile browser, choose a date and time, select a sound, and keep the tab open. Mobile operating systems may pause browser activity to save battery, and an alarm cannot run if the phone is powered off, asleep in a way that stops the browser, or out of battery. Test it on your device first.

Will the alarm sound play if my volume is muted?

Open Sound settings in the header to choose a built-in ringtone, adjust volume, and test playback. Choose Silent for a visual reminder. Check that the device and browser tab are not muted before relying on an audible alarm.

Is this alarm sound loud enough to wake me up?

The alarm can be as loud as your device and selected volume allow, but every speaker and room is different. Choose a built-in tone or local audio file, turn up your system volume, and press Test alarm before you rely on it. Keep the device close enough to hear and remember that a muted or sleeping device may not play an audible browser alarm.

Does the online alarm clock need an internet connection?

The page needs an internet connection to load, but the alarm does not need to stay connected after the page and sound are loaded. It uses your device clock in the browser. Keep the tab open and the device awake while you wait; losing Wi-Fi alone does not stop the local timer, but closing the page or shutting down the device does.

What's the difference between an alarm clock and a countdown timer?

Use the online alarm clock when you know the clock time you want, such as 7:00 AM or 2:30 PM. Use the online timer when you want a duration, such as 20 minutes or 1 hour. The alarm clock schedules a local time and date, while a timer counts down from the length you enter.

Browser alarms are best for everyday reminders. Keep the tab open, keep your device awake, and keep the volume on.
