Longer tasks with a clear endpoint
An hour timer counts down a duration rather than waiting for a specific clock time. Use it for a lesson, workshop, project session, or a recipe step.
How to use it
1. Set the duration
Start with one hour, choose a preset, or edit the hours, minutes, and seconds. The maximum total is 24 hours.
2. Check the sound
Open the global sound settings in the header to choose a ringtone, preview it, and set the volume.
3. Start and keep it open
Press Start and keep your device awake. Pause, Resume, and Reset let you adjust the session without changing its selected duration.
Ways to use this timer
A workshop or meeting
Choose one or two hours for the scheduled session. Use full screen to keep the remaining time visible to the group.
A longer recipe step
Set the duration specified for cooking, resting, or chilling. Follow the recipe’s other instructions and check the food separately.
A project work block
Give a defined part of a project a clear time allowance. Pause if you need to step away, or reset to begin another block.

How do I set a timer for one hour?
This page opens at 01:00:00. Press Start. To return to one hour later, choose the 1 hour preset.
Can I set two hours or 24 hours?
Yes. Choose a preset or enter the fields manually. The total can be from 1 second up to 24 hours; 24 hours cannot have additional minutes or seconds.
Can I add minutes to the hours?
Yes. For an hour and a half, enter 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 0 seconds, then press Start.
Will it ring if I lock my phone?
That is not guaranteed. Background restrictions, screen locking, or device sleep can delay or prevent sound. Keep the page open and device awake, and test the sound first.
What does the shared link save?
The selected duration. Opening the link prepares a new timer with that duration; it does not synchronize your running session or its remaining time.
Is an hour the same as 60 minutes?
Yes. 1 hour = 60 minutes = 3,600 seconds. Use the 60 Minute Timer if you prefer to enter the duration in minutes.
